Self-propelled gun howitzer model 77 DANA is an artillery gun of caliber 152 mm with automatic loading of ammunition which is capable to provide effective fire support for ground troops. Its advantages include good protection of the four-man crew against the effects of mass destruction weapons and large firing diameter ammunition, transported directly in the weapon.
For modernization of Fire Control System for DANA Self-propelled Gun Howitzer there exists two separate modernization packages:
Package No 1: the weapon system to be equipped with an Inertial Topography Navigation Device and a Ballistic Computer.
Package No 2: replacement of the existing control electronics by a control system compatible with upgrades introduced in the first modernization package.
