KONSTRUKTA has completed the supply of mortar barrels

Konštrukta – Defence, a. s., has successfully completed the supply of 120 mm mortar barrels on a contractual basis with BAE Systems Hägglunds, Sweden, which integrated them into the Swedish mortar system Mjölner.

Mjölner is a mortar turret solution with two smooth bored 120 mm barrels mounted on a tracked chassis of CV90 type or a wheeled vehicle.

The first 40 vehicles under the designation GRKPBV 90 from BAE Systems Hägglunds have been handed over for use by the Swedish Armed Forces.

The construction of the mortar barrel was based on the modification of the Czechoslovak mortar 120mm vz.82 PRAM-L type realized under the responsibility of KONŠTRUKTA – Defence, a.s. including the qualification testing, so as to meet the demanding technical requirements of the Swedish customer. After meeting the contractual obligations, the business partner prospectively announces the application of subsequent main deliveries, depending on the results of ongoing negotiations with domestic as well as other export customers.
