Artillery Command & Control System

Artillery Command & Control System is a comprehensive information, communication and control system designed for automatized control of artillery fire task realizations up to the level of artillery battalion, but also provides the possibility of use during the actions of a self-operating artillery battery. The transfer of necessary information for effective artillery fire-control is realized through data or audio transmission in alternative mode.

Features

Artillery Command & Control System is a comprehensive information, communication and control system designed for automatized control of artillery fire task realizations up to the level of artillery battalion, but also provides the possibility of use during the actions of a self-operating artillery battery. The transfer of necessary information for effective artillery fire-control is realized through data or audio transmission in alternative mode.

In terms of workplace structure, the system consists of:

  • 1 x Battalion Commander Workplace placed on vehicle (TATRAPAN is used by the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic)
  • 3 x Battery Commander Workplaces placed on vehicles (TATRAPAN is used by the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic)
  • 1 ÷ 12 Forward Artillery Reconnaissance Team Workplaces equipped with observation equipment. Workplaces are placed on vehicles (ALIGATOR is used by the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic)
  • 1 x Meteorological Workplace
  • 3 x 8 Gun Commander Workplaces such as:
    • SpGH ZUZANA 20000
    • SpGH ZUZANA-2
    • RL 70/85 MODULAR

Information transmission is structured according to the command level into three transmission networks.

There are the following networks at the battalion command level:

  • communication network for communication with superior command level
  • command communication network intended for communication with subordinate battery commanders
  • reconnaissance communication network for communication with forward artillery reconnaissance teams and meteorological service workplaces

There are the following networks at the battery command level:

  • command communication network intended for communication with battalion superior commander, in the case of a self-operating battery it is determined by superior command level
  • reconnaissance communication network for communication with forward artillery reconnaissance teams and meteorological service workplaces
  • weapon communication network for communication with subordinate weapons

Battalion and Battery Commander Workplaces are identical in terms of hardware and software devices that causes their interchangeability. The graphical user interface is created in order to divide the software into individual separate modules.

Individual graphical user interface modules:

  • FIRE PREPARATION
  • BALLISTIC PREPARATION
  • RECONNAISSANCE PREPARATION
  • FIRING PREPARATION
  • DIGITAL MAPS
  • FIRE – CONTROL
  • FIGHTING DOCUMENTS
  • AUXILLIARY CALCULATIONS
  • CALCULATION OF FIRING ELEMENTS
  • RADIO COMMUNICATION
